Kennedy and Carter had a great time making cupcakes and of course, eating them too.

Feb 08 SKIING

This year has been great for skiing. The season got off to a slow start but quickly became one of the best since we've lived here. We have
almost 25 feet of snow with fresh snow
almost daily. Carter takes his skiing to a new level each week. He attends "Rough Riders" on Sunday's from 9 to 3:30. He found new stashes of powder and trees even Erik and I didn't know about. He loves cutting into the trees, off the groomed runs, and exploring new jumps and bumps. He is going to try out poles for the first time on Sunday. Carter hit some tables in the terrain park and charged down his first REAL Black Diamond last Sunday, "it was a blast," mom.
Kennedy has spent her time in the daycare with all of her friends. She was a little reluctant at first but is a "local" now. She will be out on skis this weekend for the first time with her Poppy. We will certainly take photos. She has her own season pass and matching snow suit! She's ready to go, goggles and all.
Meanwhile, Erik has become quite the expert skier. He gets to enjoy the slopes almost daily with his job. I get up as often as I can, and have graduated to a "fat" ski that loves the powder. We've been in a few tree wells, lost a ski or two, but all in all we ski safely with buddies and try to stay in bounds to avoid trouble. We, like Carter, love the trees.
